Groote Post The Inheritance Pinot Noir 2022

Groote Post's The Inheritance Pinot Noir is a delightful representation of the varietal, offering a lovely light red hue and a bouquet of cherries and raspberries on the nose. The palate is elegantly soft, boasting the same red fruit elements that lead to a fruity and gratifying finish. This wine is approachable and well-balanced, making it a charming choice for those seeking a classic and fruity expression of Pinot Noir. Enjoy this wine now or allow it to develop further complexity with a few years of aging.

Groote Post The Inheritance Merlot 2021

This 100% Merlot is a vibrant garnet red with a complex nose of ripe, red berry fruit. Cherries and raspberries are dominant on the nose, followed by an alluring hint of floral notes, vanilla, spice, and cedar notes. The nose follows through on the palate with bright red fruit followed by spice, forest floor and vanilla flavours. This medium-bodied wine was matured for 15 months in first-fill French oak barrels and has firm, yet refined tannins and a long, lingering aftertaste.

Groote Post Pinch of Salt Chardonnay 2024

The Groote Post Pinch of Salt Chardonnay shows an abundance of fresh stone fruit and vibrant citrus notes on the nose. On the palate, a steely minerality with crisp citrus and yellow stone fruit flavours and a long, zesty acidity assure a full and concentrated structure. This lightly wooded 2023 vintage shows complexity with fresh acidity, a beautiful minerality, and a vibrant, zesty structure. Innovation and tradition blend perfectly to bring out the best in this wine.

Our story begins with a shared passion for the soil, the seasons, and the art of winemaking. From the very first vine planted, our vision has been guided by a deep respect for nature and the belief that truly exceptional wine begins in the vineyard. Every harvest is a reminder that we are custodians of something greater than ourselves — the land, the climate, and the timeless rhythm of the vines.

Over the years, our winery has evolved from a small family endeavor into a celebrated estate known for its craftsmanship and authenticity. Yet, despite our growth, our philosophy remains unchanged: to craft wines that speak of place, passion, and patience. Each bottle captures the essence of our region — the minerality of the soil, the purity of the fruit, and the character shaped by our unique climate.

Behind every vintage is a team of dedicated individuals who pour their heart into every step of the process. From vineyard workers and cellar hands to our winemaker and blending team, each person contributes to the story written in every glass. We blend traditional techniques with modern innovation, allowing us to create wines that are both rooted in heritage and expressive of contemporary style.

For us, winemaking is more than a craft — it’s a way of life. It’s early mornings among the vines, long hours in the cellar, and quiet moments spent tasting and refining. It’s about celebrating community, family, and the simple joy of sharing a bottle with those who appreciate it most. Our wines are not just made to be enjoyed; they are made to be remembered — a reflection of the land, the people, and the passion that define our estate.
